Hey there this is Jessica from Mascotplay,
Just starting a new business idea, Mascot commisions for cosplaying, parties, or personal use.

This year for our local convention; Otafest in Calgary, Alberta, I decided I wanted to do something big for cosplay. So I decided I would make a full out Yoshi mascot costume. After starting making it, my fiance noticed how awesome it was and asked me to help him make a Lucario costume.
After I finished the both of them, friends of ours got a look at them and instantly wanted one for themselves to cosplay at the upcoming Otafest.
So, thats going to be 3 Yoshis and a Lucario. Hopefully we can win a Smash Bros Cosplay together. I'll keep you posted on that!
Edit: Extra Notes: The convention went great and we even won a few awards!

Edit: And now after the convention is over, Ive started thinking about new projects as well as costumes. Things like apparel, accessories, and fan merchandise from animes, games, and comics. So now theres lots of things we can make. Things to come include Hoodies, Hats, Bookmarks, Lanyards, Scarves, Bandanas, Plushies, ect. You think it, we might make it.

The Costumes are fairly simple to make and just take time and hopefully a bit of cooperation from my clients.
If you want me to commision anything for you, All I ask is that you contact me, and we will try to arrange a meeting to discuss how it will work out.
I'll start by drawing out how I think it might look in the end and my ideas on creating it. Based on your input, I'll get to work. Starting with a trip to get fabric and materials which Ill have to ask you to pay for.
I'll need to get your measurements, and maybe have you model a little to start on the head and other parts, depending on what we're making.
Edit: After all that, I just ask that you make a donation on my paypal account (link up top) of our agreed price. Other forms of payment are negotiable.

Keep in mind I am currently working a part time job so I wont be able to work all the time. Also, I'm human too, I cant do just one thing for 2 weeks strait, no fun.

We look forward to working with you!

I would love to do that but unfortunantly we are a new business and we are only sticking with customers that are in calgary. In the future we will be brodening our reach but for now we stay in calgary when it comes to full body costumes. Hats and other accessories are another matter though.

Hello! I hope your having a wonderful romantic engagement!
This is Kay btw, we met at ota.
I was wondering if you could give me some advice on somthing. I have been using mattress style squishy foam for my pikachu hat ears and I have alot of trouble working with it. Seeing as how you have great expirience in mascots I figured you may know a more intelligent way of shaping soft foam rather than a paper-cutter and kitchen knives. Thanking you in advance and wishing you a wonderful life,
Kay

Hey, Nice to hear from you. ^_^
I have been trying new things with foam lately, but I am afraid I have the same prblem. I was thinking of maybe trying heated tools like a wood burning set that you can get a walmart. But I have not had the opportunity to try it out, I fear that the heat might releas toxic cemicals in the air or cacth fire. The only thing that I can suggest is try stuffing the ears with basic teddybear stuffing that you can get off big rolls at fabric land.
It is wonderful talking to you and I look forward to hearing from you again.
